PTSA POSITIONS
OFFICERS:
___President:
Coordinate the work of the officers and committee chairmen. Presides over all meetings of the association, and represents the local unit as a delegate to council, State and National PTA.
___ 1st VP of Programs:
Responsible for the overall planning, organization, implementation and coordination of the PTSA’s educational, parenting and special programs sponsored by the PTSA.
___ 2nd VP of Volunteers:
Organizes and coordinates all volunteer programs and/or activities. Maintains records of all volunteer hours.
___ 3rd VP of Ways and Means:
Organizes and coordinates all fundraising activities and develops fundraising strategy.
___ 4th VP of Membership:
To recruit PTA members, keep current list of membership, and head up the committee to select PTA Life Members.
___ 5th VP of Communication:
Executes the eNews, press releases, social media and other communications that originate from PTSA and maintains website.
___ Treasurer:
Acts as custodian of all PTA funds, maintains all bank records and presents financial statements, and prepares tax return for year served. Also serves as chairman of the budget committee.
___ Secretary:
Records minutes of all meetings, notifies board members of upcoming meetings, keeps attendance records and maintains PTA office supplies. Maintain the required documents of the association.
___ Parliamentarian:
Coordinates yearly by-law review committee and nominating committee. Attends all PTA meetings. Advise the presiding officer on parliamentary procedures.
STANDING COMMITTEE CHAIRPERSONS AND DUTIES:
___ Campus Donations:
Responsible for the overall planning, organization, implementation and coordinating campus donations and improvement.
___ Arts in Education:
Schedule, plan and coordinate the Reflections program, submit entries to Council.
___ Community Outreach:
Work with PISD Council Community Outreach Chair. Work with the Clark administrators in support of our students and families in need. Work with Clark PTSA and Clark administrators to communicate this information, as needed, to our school community to engage their participation. Provide necessary resources to support and promote district-wide initiatives and support district-wide needs and helping schools with limited resources.
___ Council Delegate:
Attend monthly meetings of the Plano ISD Council of PTAs and present a report at the subsequent PTSA Board Meetings.
___ Hospitality:
Coordinate hospitality events for teachers and staff.
___ Student Activities (Cat Chow):
Coordinate Cat Chow event, organizes restaurant food options, communicates and coordinates with Clark HS PTSA, Administration and participation, donations, volunteers and funding of Booster Clubs.
___ Homecoming:
Responsible for the overall planning, organization, implementation and coordination of the Clark Homecoming Event.
___ Homecoming Co-Chair:
Responsible for the overall planning, organization, implementation and coordination of the Clark Homecoming Event.
___ Red Ribbon Week:
Support and work with Administration to promote spirit for future Wildcats with feeder schools from elementary and up. Reach out to schools with promotional items and motivating activities that encourage enthusiasm and pride for students who will attend PSHS.
___ End of Course Test Assemblies:
Responsible to the board for updates from the student body and student organizations, i.e. Student Council.
___ School Supplies:
Schedule, plan and coordinate the Reflections program, submit entries to Council.
___ Spirit Wear:
Responsible for securing designing, ordering, selling and keeping inventory of spirit wear and spirit items. This is a year-round job, as design selection and ordering take place over the summer.
